We’re scaling up Sweden Santa Run powered by Runacademy into a nationwide running event
This year, we’re taking things to the next level with Sweden Santa Run and Social Runs across the country! In close collaboration with Runacademy, we’re creating Sweden Santa Run Powered by Runacademy. In addition to the two main events in Stockholm and Sundsvall, you’ll have the opportunity to join Social Runs all across Sweden!
On December 6 at 11:00 AM, Runacademy will bring participants together at local meeting points across Sweden to put on their Santa hats and enjoy a festive Social Run together.
Runacademy is one of Sweden’s largest running communities, dedicated to spreading the joy of running through knowledge, inspiration, and community. Runacademy has running groups in more than 110 locations across Sweden, led by dedicated running coaches, and also offers digital training. Its running groups welcome all levels and ambitions, from complete beginners to experienced runners.
With Stockholm Santa Run in the Old Town as the main event, Runacademy will simultaneously organize local Social Runs across the country, where people of all ages – runners and non-runners alike – can take part. We want to spread Christmas cheer and get people moving in communities all across Sweden! That’s why we encourage everyone to bring out their Santa hat, Santa suit, or other festive clothing. Wherever possible, our local Santa Social Runs will start from central meeting points, giving more people the opportunity to see the runners, join in the festive atmosphere, and share in the Christmas spirit.
Our Social Runs
Everyone is welcome. You can walk, jog, or run – what matters is taking part, having fun together, and contributing to something bigger.
Taking part in Sweden Santa Run is free. However, you can choose to donate any amount to the charities Aktivisfonden and Hugos Stiftelse.
When does Sweden Santa Run take place?
When: Sunday, December 6, 2026
Time: 11:00 AM
Location: Local meeting points in towns and cities across Sweden. Runacademy is active in more than 100 locations throughout Sweden, and local Social Runs will be organized in many of them. The exact meeting point varies by location.
How far will we run?
Sweden Santa Run is not a traditional race with one set course. The format may therefore vary slightly between locations, but the routes will be shorter distances of approximately 3–6 km. The focus is on an accessible and social run that allows as many people as possible to take part.

Everyone is welcome
Santa Run is a 3k run for everyone (with option for two laps). You can choose to walk, power walk, jog, or run – it’s entirely up to you!
Participants under the age of 14 will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. All children need to be registered.

Important 1:
The organizers of the event will not take out any economical benefit of the money raised since the idea of the run is to help people that need it more. That’s why we will try to keep all the costs as low as possible, so there will be no unnecessary fancy things. After the race, each participant will get a diploma emailed to them with the result of the total money that was raised from the run, and where it went. You will also receive a medal.
Important 2:
The organisers are not responsible for any damage, injury or loss during the event.
Important 3:
In this event you may be photographed, by our photographers. These photos may be published on Santa Run’s social media. If you see a photo you wish not to be published, due to a photograph of yourself or a family member, Please let us know and we will take it off immediately. Your privacy is important to us.

By buying a ticket you agree that Santa Run gets your permission to handle your personal information. We will not distribute your personal information to a third party.
Important 5:
By purchasing a ticket with Santa suit you agree to donate to charity and pay for the purchase of your Santa suit and your medal.
